All along the way into JinShan Temple are these stores selling what they call enlightened incense. I suppose they are sticks of incense which have been blessed by a monk after some sort of ceremony or whatever, but the incessant hawking by the women ruin whatever feelings of spirituality the holy place is supposed to endow.
One of them ran after me, upon seeing that I was shooting photos. What, she was afraid I was going to expose her for selling fraudulent religious paraphernalia?
