My aunt brought over this cake for me from Tokyo - she knew it's my absolute favourite, and I'm usually someone who doesn't touch cake. It's a German-styled cake, made in Tokyo, enjoyed in Shanghai. Just the perfect amount of sweetness, crumbly texture, moist inside, slight crust - a perfect cake. And seeing how I didn't get to celebrate my birthday...this had to do.
