As tradition, Mouton Rothschild commissions a different artist every year to design their label. These artists are usually chosen on a whim by the Baroness, often from her social circle. The 1991 was designed by Setsuko, and the 1992 by Per Kirkeby. The full list of artists and their designs can be found here. Brilliant marketing, no? Payment for the artist is even better - several cases of Mouton, in lieu of money. Imagine, designing for 2005. Or 2000. Or 1982.
