The world is celebrating the 200th anniversary of Frédéric Chopin's birth. I remain inspired by the maestro, and his utterly beautiful, tragic romanticism. I played his Nocturne in E Minor, Opus 72 No. 1. This piece has been in my repertoire for 10 years. Yet, I still struggle to understand its subtleties. Maybe in another 10 years.
